A Team Leader both cleans buildings and leads other cleaners. You make sure the job gets done the right way and meets company standards. You work alongside your team, train new employees, solve problems on-site, send daily reports to the office, and make sure buildings are safe and secure. You are responsible for the quality of work in the buildings assigned to you.
Cleaning and Oversight:
Make sure assigned buildings are cleaned properly each night.
Step in and help clean when needed.
Check that equipment works and supplies are stocked.
Report supply shortages or broken equipment.
Training and Support
Train new employees on cleaning tasks.
Train employees on alarm systems (arming and disarming buildings).
Train employees on the timekeeping system.
Provide re-training if performance drops.
Cross-train team members so they can cover other buildings when needed.
Communication and Reporting
Submit a daily report to the office covering employee issues, supply shortages, alarm problems, and customer concerns.
Follow up on customer complaints with the office.
Report safety issues immediately.
Keep and submit mileage logs on time.
Regular communication with your supervisor regarding employee performance.
Standards and Safety
Make sure employees follow company policies.
Make sure proper uniforms are worn.
Enforce safety and security procedures at all times.
Maintain building security while on-site.
