Commercial Cleaning Area Manager Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Area Manager. This is a full-time position. Hiring Immediately! A minimum of 3 to 5 years of multi-unit management experience is required.  Salary $45,000 a year,  plus car allowance.  

The area manager will manage employees in the Richmond Virgina area.
This area manager position will involve customer satisfaction, troubleshooting, and employee management 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Ensures all buildings are staffed and cleaned on a daily/nightly basis by cleaning crew members at scheduled times or assigning a substitute cleaner or cleaning as needed. Record all absences.
  2. Ensure training of new cleaning crew members
  3. Ensure ongoing training for cleaning crew members on the proper cleaning methods used by Office Pride, the use of the equipment, and Office Pride safety procedures.
  4. Maintain the correct levels of supplies and equipment at buildings and deliver as needed.
  5. Inspect buildings nightly/daily according to schedule, record deficiencies, and provide additional training to cleaning crew members
  6. Inspect equipment and make minor repairs.
  7. Manage all buildings so they are within the labor and supply budget.
  8. Follow up and correct customer complaints/deficiencies and document
  9. Responsible for new building start-ups including training, supplies, and equipment.
  10. Identify team development areas, ongoing training needs for quality and efficiency, and developing team leaders.
  11. Build relationships with cleaning crew members to encourage them, model Office Pride values, and identify their needs to increase employee retention.
  12. Assist as needed: 
    • to interview, select, and assign cleaning crew members to customer buildings and verify the schedule.
    • In writing up issues of non-compliance or disciplinary issues
  13.  Provide cleaning service as needed. 
Daily/Nightly Details:
  1. Ensure the cleaning specialist schedule is known and followed by cleaning crew members
  2. Record any absences
  3. Daytime and evening inspections, record, resolve, and close deficiencies found through inspections.
  4. Document all customer and employee issues, working quickly to resolve issues
  5. Provide flooring expertise as needed.
